I 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐡𝐯𝐧 provengono da Liverpool e combinano rock, alternative rock e grunge con un passato nel post-rock strumentale.
La band nasce come evoluzione degli 𝐀 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐚, che vantano due album pubblicati sotto Pelagic Records e tour internazionali a fianco di band quali And So I Watch You From Afar, This Will Destroy You, Caspian e Some Become Hollow Tubes (Godspeed You! Black Emperor).
Per il loro nuovo materiale, i newhvn si sono ritirati nei Black Bay Studios sull'Isola di Lewis e hanno ampliato il loro precedente sound post-rock con influenze shoegaze e post-hardcore. A questo si aggiungono echi di band come Pinegrove e Cloakroom: chitarre dense, grande dinamismo, melodie imponenti.
Il 29 maggio a Torino i newhvn presenteranno i brani del nuovo album annunciato per il 2026.
